Really good trip.  Navigation went suprisingly well - printed copies of the survey and description really helped in the few areas we were unsure.  The kids were amazing.  They started to get a little bit cold after getting wet in Cwm Dwr and also there was quite a lot of water at the Divers Pitch climb, but a hat/buff kept them warm along with just keeping moving.  Lifelined everyone up the Divers Pitch and then down the Letter Box climb, they thought it was hillarious coming out of the Letter Box head-first.

Had a look at the main stream in OFD1, which was too high for a safe exit with kids, so we did the Flood Escape route.  Lifelined the kids across the ladder at the Bolt Traverse and they used their own cowstails for the wire traverse beyond.  No issues coming out of OFD1.

Caving: Port-yr-ogof (24-Sept-2023)

Loads of heavy rain overnight, so our thoughts of doing Craig-a-Fyynnon were scuppered.  The alternative of doing OFD top, was dismissed due to the weather and the walk across the hill.

So we thought we'd have a play around in the upper parts of Porth-yr-Ogof.  The main entrance was impressively in flood (as expected), with the river taking the full width of the passage.  We had a look at the two abseil entrances, but we saw another group who said there wasn't much cave passage that was accessible. So we called it a day and went for coffee/lunch instead.
